This year, 2026, the Gabriola Cruisers celebrate the 10th anniversary of our club, so this is a great opportunity to take look back at our origins, in gratitude to all the members who established and built the club over the years.
The idea of an automotive club on Gabriola emerged out of an informal Show & Shine event held on the island in 2015.
Following the success of that event, participants founded the Gabriola Cruisers Automotive Club in 2016, and held a second Show & Shine event that year.
Since then, we’ve held the Show & Shine annually, except when prevented by the covid pandemic. While smaller than some other regional meet-ups and shows, the eclectic nature of the club makes it a special day, welcoming everything from early 20th Century vintage cars to recent enthusiast vehicles.
