‘Pit Stop’ Social/Meeting
Regular meetings of members of the club are held on the last Thursday of the month, at the Gabriola Golf Club. Meetings are social events, and many members arrive during the hour before the meeting starts to enjoy food and drinks together. In addition to reports and updates about club membership, finances, and activities, we sometimes have guest speakers, and always the popular quiz and half & half prize draw. Once a year, we hold our brown bag fund-raising auction, in which members bid, sight-unseen, on automotive-related donations.

Dennis Keis Memorial Poker Run
Rain or shine, our annual poker run will take place on Sunday 30 August, starting from the Gabriola Agi Hall at 10:00 AM. Drivers will be given a map with ten locations to be visited around the island to collect playing cards, and will return to the Agi Hall to see who can make the best poker hand and win the trophy.
There will be a registration fee of $10 for each vehicle with the proceeds going to the PHC Foodbank. Non-members are welcome.
Drivers please arrive at Agi Hall at 10:00 AM to collect your maps and receive instructions. Departure time is about 10:30 AM, with drivers returning to the hall by 1:00 PM. [Volunteers please arrive at 9:30 AM to collect your cards and get your assigned locations.]
The Gabriola Lions will be set up with hotdogs and hamburgers for purchase. Tea and coffee will be provided in the Hall.
Remember this is a fun driving event and not a race.
