‘Pit Stop’ Social/Meeting
Regular meetings of members of the club are held on the last Thursday of the month, at the Gabriola Golf Club. Meetings are social events, and many members arrive during the hour before the meeting starts to enjoy food and drinks together. In addition to reports and updates about club membership, finances, and activities, we sometimes have guest speakers, and always the popular quiz and half & half prize draw. Once a year, we hold our brown bag fund-raising auction, in which members bid, sight-unseen, on automotive-related donations.
The next social/meeting is at 7 PM on Thursday 30 July 2026.

Vancouver Island Hot Rod meet-up
Club members will attend the regular weekly meet-up of Vancouver Island Hot Rods on Wednesday 15 July. This group of enthusiasts celebrates Hot Rod, Classic Car, and Muscle Car culture in our region. The meet-up is held in the parking lot of KMS Tools at 4900 Wellington Road in Nanaimo, (just off Island Highway, near Long Lake). Bring your hot rod, classic, or muscle car, or just come along to look at the vehicles on show. Please do not arrive before 5:30pm, as the parking lot is in use by KMS and other businesses before then.
10th Anniversary Show & Shine
This year, we celebrate the founding of our club in 2016. Join us for a very special Show & Shine event, at the Gabriola Agi Hall (465 South Road), on Sunday 2 August. Vehicles can arrive from 10:00am onwards, and the event opens to the public at noon. Registration is $15 for non-member vehicles, and free for members (up to two vehicles; additional vehicles $15). This is a great opportunity to join or renew your membership.
This is a fun, family and community event. Come out to share your love of vintage, collector, and enthusiast automotive vehicles in all their guises. Vote for your favourite vehicle, and enjoy music, prizes, and burgers and hotdogs from the local Lions chapter and donuts from Gabriola’s own Shae Can Bake.
