Our annual Vintage and Specialty Vehicle Parade drive around the island was a great succes, with almost 60 member vehicles participating.

This year’s route began at Twin Beaches, and made its way around the island, with detours into the Whalebone and Stephens Road neighbourhoods. Many people came out to watch the parade pass their properties, and Canadian flags were in abundance.

Thanks to all the organisers and participants, and to the Gabriola RCMP detachment for controlling traffic at key intersections, allowing us to keep the parade together.

Our first event for 2020, due to the COVID pandemic. Steve organized a short driving run. We met at the Golf Club parking lot and the participants drove a loop over Coates Road, Hess Road, Ferne Road to Brickyard Beach and back on South Road to the Golf Club.

Then everyone enjoyed burgers and beverages at the Golf Club, followed by a short general meeting.
